About This Recipe
Spoon bread is actually a portage that is baked until light and fluffy. The warmth and the sweetness of the seedless blackberry preserves will make this one of your favorites for breakfast. It is so satisfying and will keep you going all morning long.
1 tablespoon butter
3/4 cup fine or course ground cornmeal. (Depends on the texture you prefer.)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
4 Tbsp of TVF Seedless Blackberry Preserves
Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
Heat butter in 1-quart casserole in oven until melted.
Beat egg in medium bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into hot casserole.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
Serve hot and with butter and your favorite Terra Verde Foods Preserves.
